Men's Ministries
There are some specific outreach events designed for men which take place annually. The purpose of these events is strictly evangelism. Therefore, we encourage the men of our church to invite unsaved men to join them in participating in these events. Call or e-mail Pastor Pollock for details of any of these outreach events.
Sportsmen's Dinner
The Sportsmen's Dinner will takes place annually. Our famous stew dinner and finest choice speakers draw over 500 men each year. Start thinking now of someone you can invite to our dinner.
Fellowships
Fellowship takes place informally throughout our church week after week. However, we would like to highlight the following.
Men's Prayer
Every Saturday morning at 7:00 AM a handful of men meet in Pastor Seefried's office for the purpose of prayer. We believe the Lord blesses those who pray, therefore we encourage all men to join us for this "sweet hour of prayer". Retreats
Our goal as a church is to help men to be the man of God he needs to be. We are also dedicated to assisting me to be the husbands and fathers God has called them to be. Therefore, we believe the following retreat will spiritually enrich the men of our church.
The Men's Adventure
This annual men's retreat takes place in February and is sponsored by the Empire State Fellowship. Each year a group of men from our church travel together to this overnight retreat. For more information call or e-mail Pastor Seefried. pastorseefried@marillabaptist.org
Sports
Sports are an excellent way for men to get together and have fun in Christ. There are 3 specific sports organized and designed for men to participate in.
Softball
The men's softball season begins in May and runs through the second week of August. The team is designed for those men in our church who are 16 years and older. If interested contact Chuck Dusel. For details email Pastor Pollock: pastorpollock@marillabaptist.org
Golf Tournament
The Golf Tournament will be held annually. Our goal is to include at least one unsaved man in each foursome. Each year the Gospel is presented clearly and men accept Christ as their Savior
Basketball
Men's basketball takes place on Saturday mornings January thru March. These pick-up games are competitive but fun. Contact Pastor Pollock for details. pastorpollock@marillabaptist.org
